These AI Agent Terms of Use (“AI Terms”) are provided by Extend Studio SRL (“we,” “us,” or “SiteLeads”) and apply to all Plugin Users who enable, configure, or deploy the AI Agent feature within the SiteLeads plugin, and to all Website Visitors who interact with a SiteLeads AI Agent on any website where it has been deployed. These AI Terms are incorporated into and form part of the SiteLeads Terms of Service and should be read alongside the SiteLeads Privacy Policy.
By enabling the AI Agent feature or interacting with a SiteLeads AI Agent, you agree to these AI Terms. If you do not agree, do not activate or use the AI Agent functionality.
1. Definitions
As used in these AI Terms:
“AI Agent” means the artificial intelligence-powered chat functionality within the SiteLeads plugin that engages Website Visitors, answers questions, and collects lead contact information based on training content provided by the Plugin User.
“AI Functionality” means any and all artificial intelligence features, tools, and capabilities made available through the SiteLeads plugin, including but not limited to the AI Agent, website crawling for training purposes, and AI-generated responses to Visitor messages.
“Input” means any content, messages, or information submitted to the AI Agent by a Website Visitor during a conversation, or any training content (website URLs, documents, text) submitted by a Plugin User to configure the AI Agent.
“Output” means any response, message, suggested channel, or other content generated by the AI Agent in response to an Input.
“Training Content” means the website pages, uploaded documents, and any other materials that a Plugin User submits to train or configure their AI Agent.
“AI Provider” means the third-party artificial intelligence infrastructure provider(s) whose technology powers the AI Functionality within SiteLeads.
“Plugin User” means a website owner or administrator who has installed SiteLeads and enabled the AI Agent on their website.
“Website Visitor” means any individual who interacts with a SiteLeads AI Agent deployed on a Plugin User’s website.
2. What the AI Agent Does
The SiteLeads AI Agent is designed specifically for lead generation purposes. It engages Website Visitors in conversation, answers questions based on the Training Content provided by the Plugin User, collects Visitor contact information (such as name, email address, and phone number), and directs Visitors toward a communication channel for follow-up by the Plugin User.
The AI Agent does not make autonomous decisions, does not process payments, does not book appointments, and does not initiate contact with Visitors outside of a live session. All follow-up communication with Visitors is conducted manually by the Plugin User.
3. Acceptance and Consent
For Plugin Users: By enabling the AI Agent feature in your SiteLeads dashboard, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these AI Terms. Your activation of the AI Agent constitutes your consent to the processing of Training Content and Visitor conversation data as described herein.
For Website Visitors: By initiating a conversation with an AI Agent deployed on a website, you acknowledge that you are interacting with an automated AI system, not a human representative. You consent to the recording and processing of your messages and any contact information you choose to provide. If you do not wish to interact with the AI Agent, you may close the widget or use the alternative channel options displayed.
4. Plugin User Responsibilities
As a Plugin User who deploys an AI Agent, you accept sole responsibility for:
4.1 Training Content. All Training Content you submit — including website pages crawled, documents uploaded, and any text or instructions provided — must be accurate, lawful, and either owned by you or used with appropriate permission. You must not submit Training Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties, contains false or misleading information, or violates any applicable law.
4.2 AI Agent Configuration. You are responsible for reviewing and testing your AI Agent’s responses before deploying it to live visitors. You should regularly monitor Output quality and update your Training Content when your business information changes.
4.3 Visitor Disclosures. You are responsible for clearly disclosing to your Website Visitors that they are interacting with an AI system. Where required by applicable law, you must also obtain appropriate consents from Visitors before collecting their personal information through the AI Agent.
4.4 Lead Data. You accept sole responsibility for all Lead Data (visitor contact information) collected through your AI Agent, including how you store, use, and share it. SiteLeads is not responsible for your use of Lead Data after it has been captured.
4.5 Compliance with Applicable Law. You are responsible for ensuring that your deployment of the AI Agent complies with all laws applicable to your business and location, including consumer protection laws, data protection and privacy regulations, anti-spam laws, and any AI-specific regulations that may apply in your jurisdiction.
4.6 Prohibited Uses. You must not configure or use the AI Agent to:
We reserve the right to disable any AI Agent that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these AI Terms or is used in a manner harmful to Visitors or third parties.
5. Limitations of AI Output
5.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy. AI technology is continuously improving but is not infallible. Outputs generated by the AI Agent may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate in certain contexts. SiteLeads makes no warranty or representation regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for purpose of any Output.
5.2 Not Professional Advice. Outputs generated by the AI Agent do not constitute legal, financial, medical, safety, or other professional advice. Neither Plugin Users nor Website Visitors should rely on AI Agent Outputs for decisions involving legal matters, financial transactions, health or safety, or any other matter where professional advice is required.
5.3 Training Content Limitations. The AI Agent responds based on the Training Content provided by the Plugin User. If Training Content is incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, the AI Agent’s responses will reflect those limitations. SiteLeads is not responsible for the quality of responses arising from inadequate Training Content.
5.4 No Human Review. Outputs are generated automatically without human review by SiteLeads. Plugin Users are solely responsible for monitoring the quality of their AI Agent’s conversations.
6. Data and Privacy
6.1 Input Processing. Visitor messages (Inputs) submitted to the AI Agent are processed to generate real-time responses. This processing involves transmission to our AI Provider(s). By enabling the AI Agent, Plugin Users consent to this processing on behalf of their Visitors. Plugin Users must ensure their own privacy policies disclose this to Visitors.
6.2 Training Content Processing. Training Content submitted by Plugin Users (including crawled website content and uploaded documents) is processed and stored by SiteLeads and may be transmitted to our AI Provider(s) for the purpose of configuring and powering the AI Agent. Plugin Users warrant that they have the right to submit all Training Content for this purpose.
6.3 AI Provider Processing. The AI Functionality is powered by third-party AI Provider(s). Inputs and Training Content may be processed by these providers in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. SiteLeads does not control how AI Providers use data transmitted to them beyond the contractual obligations we impose. Plugin Users are encouraged to review our AI Provider’s terms and privacy policy, a link to which is available on our [subprocessors/privacy page].
6.4 No Training on Your Data. SiteLeads will not use your Training Content or Visitor conversations to train general AI models for use by other customers. Your Training Content is used solely to configure and operate your own AI Agent.
6.5 Lead Data Storage. Contact information submitted by Visitors through the AI Agent’s lead capture flow is stored in the Plugin User’s SiteLeads dashboard. This data is handled in accordance with the SiteLeads Privacy Policy and the Plugin User’s own privacy obligations.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Outputs. You acknowledge that AI-generated Outputs may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions, as laws regarding AI-generated content continue to evolve. SiteLeads makes no representations regarding the intellectual property status of any Output.
7.2 Training Content. You retain ownership of all Training Content you submit. By submitting Training Content, you grant SiteLeads a limited, non-exclusive license to process and use that content solely for the purpose of operating your AI Agent.
7.3 AI Technology. All rights in the underlying AI Functionality, models, and technology remain with SiteLeads and our AI Provider(s). You may not attempt to copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the AI Functionality.
8. Modifications and Availability
SiteLeads reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the AI Agent functionality at any time, including changes to usage limits, AI models, or features, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify Plugin Users of material changes. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from changes to or unavailability of the AI Functionality.
9. Disclaimer
THE AI FUNCTIONALITY IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” SITELEADS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES RELATING TO THE AI FUNCTIONALITY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SITELEADS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY HARM, LOSS, OR LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY OUTPUT GENERATED BY THE AI AGENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SITELEADS’ LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE AI FUNCTIONALITY SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THE SITELEADS TERMS OF SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SITELEADS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE AI FUNCTIONALITY.
11. Indemnification
Plugin Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SiteLeads and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from: (a) Training Content you submit; (b) Lead Data collected through your AI Agent; (c) your configuration or deployment of the AI Agent; (d) your violation of these AI Terms or any applicable law; or (e) any claim by a Website Visitor arising from their interaction with your AI Agent.
12. Changes to These AI Terms
We may update these AI Terms from time to time to reflect changes in AI technology, legal requirements, or our Services. We will update the “Last Updated” date above and, for material changes, notify Plugin Users by email or through a notice within the plugin. Continued use of the AI Functionality after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AI Terms.
